I had been planning to have a BIG surprise party for their 30th anni for a while. I just love to plan things and especially surprises. I decided on a Luau theme since they really wanted to go back to Hawaii but, couldn't I thought we could bring Hawaii to them but, better yet have all their friends and family there too. So planning was going well invitations sent, gathering all the decor and menu planning. then i talk to my mom one day and tell her my fake plans for the day so she doesn't get suspicuos and she tells me that she was thinking that they would renew their vows since they didn't have a real wedding just got married at the courthouse. So I got off the phone and called my pastor at church which she is also an ordained minister that performs weddings. She was open and very excited to help out with the surprise ceremony. I called the bros, SIL's and GG to tell them the NEW plan. Phew was it a busy 12 days. that's right pulled the whole surprise wedding together in 12 days. Got mom 3 dresses to select from, and got to work with all that weddings entail. It worked out cause they decided to get a room at MGM the day before so we could all decorate and meet reherse the days events. Yes, I said reherse. I called a meeting, had an agenda and we walked thru every detail. The time arrived and guests all parked inconspicuously they were there and everyone got quiet. Mom came in first and the look on her face was priceless. dad was pretty funny also he just had this dumbfounded face and said WOW. After seeing everyone, the boys took dad to the man cave and the girls led mom to her room. Where we asked them if they wanted to do it all over again. Anf they both said YES. showed mom her dresses and started getting her hair and She was just shaking she was so nervous. Dad was getting the news and getting ready himself. Then tim and dad went outside, I walked w/ Noah and Ella (holding the leis for them) and Robbie and Ryan walked mom down the isle/stepping stones to meet dad below the arch in the yard we decorated. It was so nice the hawaiian version of somewhere of the rainbow played and everyone sat on blankets in the grass for the ceremony. It was very much 'Their dream wedding" I was so happy that they were hapy and you could see the love and something about 30 years of memories made everyone laugh and cry. We came in for a toast and cake. Then watched a video montage I made of their lives together. It was a pretty amazing turnout. I was so glad to have had everyones help and support to make this vision for my mom and dad a day they will remember forever.

Keagan's 5th
Last month we went to celebrate with Miss Keagan on her 5th Birthday at the skating Rink. it was the first skating b-day we have been to. I took Noah and Keagan out to do the Hokey Pokey and the chicken dance they loved it. Noah had so much fun. He has his own skates and of course so does his momma from back in the day. Lots of childhood memories at that place. so happy to celebrate her b-day with her. Melody put on a great bash. I was hurting though the next day from holding Noah's hand the whole time keeping us both from a wipeout. Happy to report no one got injured and we stayed up like pros the whole time. Tim doesn't skate at all but, he even had lots of fun in the arcade with Ella the whole time. We have to go skating again sometime we all had fun. Happy 5th Keagan!
Latest w/ The McGeary kids
It's been a little while so I wanted to post what has been going on in our day-to-day house.
Kids play many pretend games together now. One of which is when they team up and eat monsters all around the house. another one is a new show they like on Nick Jr. called "Umizumi' noah is "Geo" and Ella is "Millie" they have a brother named "bob the robot" it is really cute, they go on missions together hid from aliens and eat monsters. They crack me up daily.
Noah still plays bowling multiple times daily. He tries to get Ella to play but, she prefers playing 'wipies" she get a wet wipe or paper towel and goes all around the house cleaning everything.
Ella has really found her voice with her big brother tells him what's on her mind. My favorite was in the car one day she told him "I don't wike dat attitoo" it was hilarious and the great part was she was right on. He has a bad tude that day.
Anyhow, Tim and I are getting ready to celebrate our 10 year and hopefully going to cancun May 12 for a couples retreat. It really is a lot of planning but, it will be worth it.
well, that is it for now busy, busy busy...

Robin and Chris' visit Jan 23-31
The long awaited reunion finally happened. We sent Chris off last April for his deployment to Afganistan and he returned safely home for R & R last week. it was so nice to see him and I know Robin was so happy to have him back in her arms. We had some good times as usual. First night we went to a nice dinner at Outback then to a few Irish bars had a great time. then the next morning we played some football. i have to mention that i was an awesome kicker and scored the winning touchdown. After the game we went back to moms where she cooked Roast beef sandwiches and potatoes. Perfect since it was chilly outside and we were playing ball. Tim had to work soooo much this week so just Robin and i made it out for pedicures on Thurs. in the rain. it was so nice to have some girl time with her. Then Friday night we made plans again with them. Ryan and i started out first at stoney's where we played beer pong, I danced and then we both rode the bull. we left about midnight and went to meet them at the venetian. Tim got off of work about that time so he met us there too. we had a few drinks at the lounge then headed back to stoney's. it was a lot of fun. Robin and i got to do some dancing, she rode the bull and we were literally the last to leave the place at 3am. Did some singing in the car on the way to their hotel and hang out for another hour or so. we never get to do that so the exhastion the next day was worth it. The left sat. night to go back to nc where Chris will be for another week before he goes back to afganistan. Then home for good end of march.
Shamika's baby shower/ MJ's arrival
Last weekend Shamika had her baby shower for MJ. couldn't be happier for my best friend having her 3rd daughter. This baby is going to be so loved. The shower was a huge success. The best part was all the reunion of all us Boulder girls. It was so nice to see all the girls. Shamika got so many great things for MJ. The cutest was the twins getting their BIG sister shirts and MJ had a onsies that said lil sister. So cute.

mommy, mommy, mommy...WHAT?!?!?!
i sooo had one of those bad mommy days. Started out Ella woke up pretty early came in my bed and wanted to watch her showsies (Disney channel) so half asleep I am fumbling for the remote which I find but, guess it was for the LR tv so I keep searching as she keeps ordering me around to hurry, and get her milkies. Still just trying to hurry to get back on my warm bed, I get her what she wants. i fall back to sleep for about 6 min when then she throws her empty cup my way and says mommy more...I was like I don't think so. then she decides to throw a good tantrum before 6:30 am. i am seriously looking at her like 'really you want to do this right now? she continues, here comes Noah 'good morning mom, i tell him good morning even though I can see where it's going. so I get up make some coffee where again i am followed with orders for breakfast. Preceeded by calling my name a bizziliion times before the coffee starts to brew. I pour the first cup and as i stir I hear running, yelling then "the fight" I just kept stirring and listing. thinking to myself are these kids really serious? Mommy he hit my stomach (pronounced STA-match) then noah yells She threw a crayon at my eye. so sent them both in time out. Wish i could end the story there but, no it went on pretty much the same way for the next 2 hrs. till finally had it sent Ella to an early nap and noah to play quietly. In the meantime I took a few breathers and then arranged to have a pedicure with Robin. I p/u a movie for the kids and some wine for me hoping the afternoon would go better. Which it did, mostly but, of course as i sit to watch it with them they both look at me and ask for a movie snack. ahhhh, mommy, mommy, mommy...WHAT???
Catch 22
So here's the deal, seems I'm always in these same dilemas in my head lately...I love that Tim has a good job, but I hate how much he is gone. I love staying home with the kids, but, I also go crazy more than a few times a day. I hate being in debt, so therefore I love Tim get a lot of OT. I miss my husband being home at night, but, I love the the pay days every other Thurs. I dream about moving, I don't want to leave my family. I want to pick up my business but, I am needed right now at home. I love a clean house, but, i am bored of cleaning it. I want to be more organized, I sometimes don't finish projects which makes more too organize. I am a morning person, but lately can't sleep at night. Therfore I'm grouchy in the a.m. and worn out by p.m. I know there is always going to be obsticals in life and Thank God these are mine, I think i can manage day to day. Especially at the end of each chaos filled day of mine, I tuck my kids in, say prayers with them and go to bed knowing they are not hungry, not sick, very cared for, very loved and best of they are asleep...ahhhh! Ready to do it all again tomorrow.
