Robin and Cole's visit July 2-5

Robin and Cole came in town Thurs. night for all the fun. Friday we took the kids to the pool at the Golden Nugget. They have a shark aquarium in the pool and a huge tube slide. The slide actually goes thru the aquarium. Cole convinced me to go with him. We had a blast. Then went to dinner with Robin, Cole and Chris' family. It was great to see them all except we were missing Chris. Saturday, 4th of July we took the kids to the Adventuredome and as usual had a blast. Sue (Chris' mom) bought a cute video of the boys riding a ride. Then off to mom and dads for 4th of July BBQ. We ate sooo much, got wet with the kids, played vollyball and then drove to a church by Red Rock station to watch their fireworks. When we got home about 11pm robin and i poured some moscato and began to make 50 cupcakes for Noah's party the next day. Such fun, normally I would have stressed but, she was helping and making it fun. Sunday, we had Noah's bowling party all his friends came (the ones that were in town :( anyway, he loved it and got so many cool toys, we are still opening new toys, keeping him really occupied. Whoohoo, thanks everyone! after boqwling we went to a nearby park where we ate pizza and kids played in the water. everyone but, Noah. he was so excited to play with his GIANT bowling set papa and yaya got him. They all had a great time. It was one of the best birthdays for us. lots of fun...Sunday night, Tim took the boys to Bass pro shops so Robin and I could unwind and have some girl time. we went to Frank & Fina's yummy mex restuarant and then got to meet up with Stephanie and Melody. We had a few drinks at town Square and it was the best ending to the perfect weekend. I just am so blessed to have the best of friends and family.

My trip to North Carolina

So a couple months ago tim surprised me with an airline ticket to visit Robin. turns out the weekend was the same weekend as noah's 1st teeball game so I rescheduled for may 15th. I haven't been up for a visit since i was pregnant with Ella and Noah came with me. This was such a needed mommy vacation. I was excited yet nervouse to leave the kids even though it was just for 3 days. When I got to the airport Tim got me a starbucks, I was trying to relax and just read by myself but, I couldn't sit still. i ended up dumping my entire chai on the floor, a bit nervous I suppose going on a trip by myself. Anyway I was able to relax on the plane and catch up on some reading. When we were about to land, i couldn't stop looking at all the trees. Robin picked me up and we headed for a mexican restaurant. Our visit was so nice to be catching up and laughing over dinner instead of on the phone 2,000 miles away. Ryan was headed up to meet us but, weather was really bad so we went to barnes & noble to kill time and have dessert. finally Ryan met us and drove me back to Robins house about 45 min away. it was so great to see my baby brother, haven't seen since christmas. i loved that he had the country station on in his car, i thought he did that for me but, turns out he likes it now. So we went back to her house, all of us pretty pooped had a drink together and talked way too late then went to bed. Saturday was busy, Cole had a baseball and soccer game. so glad i got to see him play, what a sport. We had lunch with cole and victoria (robin's mom) and then headed back for the pampered chef party. after the pampered chef party we decided to go for drinks and get some junk food and board games. played and drank outside till it was dark, we chased lighting bugs like little kids then headed in for some more late night chats. sunday we intended to go to church but, realized we were running too late. we went to get me some coffee then off to pedicures for Robin and i and then met back up with Ryan for a great Japanese Lunch/ dinner. It was a teppanyaki grill (where they cook the food in front of you) so yummy, we ate sooo much but, it was great. Ryan then had to head back to Virginia, so Robin and i went to visit her parents and brothers family. We rented some girly movies and got some snacks and stayed over her parents other house (closer to the airport) We ate left over food watched movies and exersized. then off to bed, but, of course we stayed up talking again, that's just what we do...Woke up dark and early to some crazy reggae alarm music then off to the airport for me to come home. It really was so refreshing to spend time with her and outta LV. i missed tim and the kids so much but, really came back so energized and felt great to be home. I realized that moms do not know sometimes how much it helps to do things like that to do things by ourselves. it makes us better women when we indulge and listen to what we need. i may not always listen and do things like that for me but, I know I will make an effort to at least yearly. can't wait for Robin and Cole's visit next month!

Noah's prayers

Noah has said the most precious things during prayer time. I know I'll forget so I am going to start blogging about them to keep them alive. Tonight at bedtime he said "dear God, thank you for mommy and daddy, i'm so glad you are risen" Yesterday was easter so he remembered. thought that was so cute. the other night I let him stay up pretty late and before bed he said "God, I just want to see you so bad, please come down, I want to see you and see my mommy too, he was soo animated and serious about this. it was so funny. A couple weeks ago after his first baseball practice he said his usual, thank you God for mommy, daddy, Ella ect., thankyou for our house and our health and please help me listen to my coaches lesson and not kick dirt, Amen. That was hilarious. I just love to listen to his prayers it makes my heart smile. sure there will be more to add soon.

Easter 2009

We had such a great Easter. Although Tim had to work and didn't get to come to church the weekend was great. We colored eggs on Sat. night. that is always so much fun! Ella really got into it this year. she was so funny. All her eggs were orange. Unlike Noah when she spilled she decided she was done. The Easter bunny brought them goodies, and then we went to church. I didn't get to enjoy church service since the kids went to kids' church while i taught Sunday school. so by the time service started they were ready to go. It was very nice though to teach the kids the most incredible story of Jesus' death and resurection. Then we went to mom and dads as usual for cookout and easter egg hunt. Tim made it just in time to hide all 500 eggs. Noah and Ella loved it. So cute...Kids really had the best time, got waaaayy too much easter goodies and suprisingly they were both very well behaved ALL DAY! Whooohoo! Makes a good easter great to have all the family and friends to share it with.

Noah's Teeball

Noah started Teeball a few weeks ago. He has been waiting for this for months. It is so cute, how excited he gets every Tuesday before practice. The very first practice he ran to the field and said "hi coach, what base do I play" I thought he'd get quiet like he does when he is real excited but, no he was jumping and playng and kicking dirt. they ran bases and Tim helped coach all the kids. It has been our highlight, we all look forward to it. Ella even claps and cheers for Noah. Can't wait for their first game this Saturday. They get their uniforms tomorrow night. Looking forward to all this sports stuff! He is such a good ball player. Although he is the smallest on his team, all the coaches are calling him "THE STUD". i am so proud of hime! GO A's!!!
